Kanji Flash is a practice aid, not an official exam source.

While Kanji Flash is a great tool for practicing kanji recall, it shouldn't be used as a certified dictionary, an official JLPT resource, or a complete course.

Independent and unofficial

Kanji Flash is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Japan Foundation, Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, or any official JLPT organization.

JLPT names and levels are used descriptively to help learners understand the current study scope.

Educational limits

Kanji Flash is designed for fast recall of meanings and readings. It does not replace a teacher, textbook, dictionary, handwriting practice, vocabulary study, or official exam preparation material.

Quiz answers are shortened for usability and may not include every valid nuance of a kanji.

Possible errors

Kanji data, localization, interface text, and route metadata may contain mistakes. If you find one, send a report to admin@jepang.org with the kanji, language, URL, and suggested correction if you have one.

How to use it responsibly

Use Kanji Flash as a quick memory check, then confirm important details with a trusted dictionary, textbook, teacher, or official study material. This is especially important if you are preparing for an exam or using a kanji in formal writing.
